wonderful wednesday

I feel like wonderful is an adjective that's used when something is like super great but I feel like we should normalize wonderful. Like why can't wonderful be used in a more normal fashion.... I don't know this is me rambling because it's hard to find positive "w" adjectives. My mom told me to have a "winning Wednesday" and I guess that's nice too. I guess today was a nice day, nothing bad happened... so that's a win. I'm grateful that I'm not sick, all of my loved ones are well, and I have plenty of food and necessities, these are all wins.
I did in fact wake up and lay on the floor. The time did not pass as quickly today but I would say it still helped. After that I did the same 20 minute hip opening yoga, that definitely helps. I do that video plus 3 other stretches and my hips are feeling much better. So much so that I'm tempted to run but I know I need to take it easy. I might go on a walk tomorrow depending on how it feels. Then I changed from pajama shorts to workout shorts and I had some breakfast. I had yogurt and a slice of my banana blueberry bread and Soren had toast with peanut butter. We watch The Good Doctor while we eat. It's really good, it's on Hulu. Both his mom and his grandparents have seen it so you could say that all of his family recommends.
Then Soren went to work and I went into town to his mom's. First I stopped at the grocery store and got scallions, avocados, rice, and soy sauce so that I could make dinner and then I went to his mom's. I almost always play with Caboose when I come in because he really likes it and it makes sure he doesn't bark if she's on a work call. Today was really warm, it was high 70s all day. After Caboose got tired and hot we went inside. I was on my computer for awhile and then I went outside to work out. I found a bunch of hip strengthening exercises that are either all body weight or require a resistance band. I did those and a few core exercises for about 35 minutes.
Soren's virtual awards ceremony for rowing was today. His mom and I didn't know that until a few minutes before it was happening so we watched part of it and then I came back to his grandparents' house. We just hung out for a little, I took a shower, had an interview for a position at Navy and then I started making dinner. I made breakfast fried rice. It was really easy. I've made lots of stir fry and I made lo mein once but this was even easier. I will have to say I've never made rice on the stove top, only minute rice or when Soren's mom made it in an instant pot. It wasn't hard, I learned that today. I used this recipe: https://rachelschultz.com/2017/08/17/breakfast-fried-rice. The only thing I would change is that because I didn't use fresh garlic I read that 1 teaspoon is approximately equal to one clove and I think that I put too much in. Soren said he didn't notice and that he liked it so much he'd eat the leftovers for breakfast. Personally I thought the garlic was overwhelming and I'd use at least one teaspoon less. Other than that, it was easy and yummy. I also didn't have any red pepper flakes but it's okay and I didn't use a whole pound of bacon, a little over a half was plenty. I also didn't take a picture but honestly it wasn't too visually appealing. I'm sure I could've added chicken and that would've been tasty too. There are many ways I could've tweaked it and now I know.
As far as tomorrow goes... it'll probably look a lot like today. I'm supposed to pick up bottled water because it's on sale at the grocery store so I should do that, I could've done it today but I went to a different grocery store. I'll go to Soren's mom's house and I'll do the same hip strengthening workout. It's supposed to be warmer tomorrow so I might do it inside. Like I said earlier if my hip doesn't hurt I'm going to go on a walk. Perhaps I'll take the dog. Maybe I'll just listen to music and walk, that could be nice too. I'll let you guys know what I do! I know, this is some exciting stuff.
The yoga and stretching has been helping so I'll definitely do that again in the morning, as well as the lying down flat. I'll probably have yogurt and a slice of bread again, I like it and it keeps me full. I definitely don't think I drank enough water today and my lips are really chapped so I need to drink more.
Wow for someone who doesn't do a lot I sure wrote a lot. I talked to both of my parents today, that was nice. I should definitely call my grandparents and my sister, if you're some of those people and you're reading this, know that I know I should call you. I guess that's all for now!
