Today was a good day, so was yesterday I just forgot to blog because I had to write a presentation for my French class. Today I did school at the lake because we have good wifi there now. After I was done class and some extra instruction with my professor, I started my laundry and came into town. Soren and I had a little lunch, I finished my homework and then I headed back to the lake to go on a run. I might've mentioned this before but I am an avid fan of the exercise tracking app, Strava. It's like social media for working out and I think it helps keep me more accountable. They have challenges and events that you can join. I did the June 5k yesterday, not knowing that today would be the Lululemon Global Running Day 5k that I'd also signed up for. So I ended up running two days in a row. My hip feels fine thankfully and I actually felt good on my run today.

After my run I showered and just hung out and watched some of The Good Doctor with Soren. It wasn't long afterwards that dinner was ready. I am now realizing that today wasn't too exciting but that's okay. It was pretty overcast all day, I was worried that I was going to get rained on, fortunately I did not.

I talked to Allison yesterday, it was nice to catch up! I also made enchilada stuffed peppers for dinner last night. I forgot to mention that. They were really good. Plus we already had quinoa from a quinoa salad that Soren's mom had made for Dechlan's grad party. Here's the recipe: https://www.ambitiouskitchen.com/enchilada-chicken-quinoa-stuffed-bell-peppers/. I followed it pretty closely except the quinoa had some corn and black beans in it which I think added to the peppers. It would've been a little boring, in my opinion, with just chicken and quinoa. I made some guacamole that I put on top. Everyone who ate one didn't hate it. Soren ate his whole pepper and told me that it was good, perhaps he was lying to make me feel better but I'll take it. Soren's mom really liked it. I'll probably make them again, they were easy.

I have my second French test tomorrow. I'm doing pretty well in that class, my professor seems to like me. She was very impressed by the effort I put into my presentation. I volunteered to go today because I wanted to get it over with but I wasn't quick enough to be the first person. I would say I'm pretty middle of the line as far as this class goes, I'm not the worst one but I'm not the best one. The kid who went first is really good at French. But, she appreciates Powerpoints apparently and he didn't have one, he just showed a picture. I needed the Powerpoint so that I could remember my speaking points... She told me after class that I got an A, I am very happy about that.

I haven't baked at all this week, I probably will next week. We have a lot of sweets still. I am planning on making waffles one day this weekend. They are always a hit and everyone loves them.

Oh! The reason for tonight's title, my mom told me to have a "witty Wednesday," I think I did. I definitely laughed a lot today, even though the weather was bad it didn't seem to put me down. I also laughed a lot last night, we showed Soren's mom a John Mulaney video and a Chris D'Elia video. If you don't know who they are, they're stand up comedians, I'd recommend. John Mulaney is on Spotify and he has 3 minute long bits that are pretty good. They both have longer videos on Youtube.

I started reading a new book, Lilac Girls, by Martha Hall Kelly. It's a historical fiction that takes place during World War II. It's pretty long and I'm only on page 84 but it's so far so good. There are three women, Caroline, Kasia, and Herta. Caroline is in New York City, Kasia is in Poland and Herta is in Germany. So far it just talks about their individual lives and how they're changing because of Hitler's invasions into different countries. I am enjoying it so far, I don't know if I'd recommend it yet because it isn't super exciting. I assume it will be. As far as historical fiction that parallels two stories go, I'd recommend All the Light We Cannot See, it's super sad but an excellent book. I think I had to read it in high school but I loved it. It's not a hard read literature wise but it is hard emotionally. I'd highly suggest you read it.

I think that's all for now. Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!
