what to do on wednesday...

I can honestly say today has been the most "Wednesday" Wednesday I've had in a while. When I was at school I used to tell Katherine it was time for "mid-week depression," I was being dramatic but I'm feeling it again. I've just kind of gone through the motions today. I've been productive but not too productive. I worked out, I sprinted up and down's Soren's grandparents' driveway probably 20 times... it's funny but you gotta do what you gotta do. Then I did a circuit in their basement. But it took less than an hour so now I'm here.
I've concluded that once this whole stay at home thing is done I'm going to need a haircut, get my eyebrows done and get my nails done but first, and foremost, I'm going to need a massage. I needed one before I went on spring break and I thought I'd be able to get one once I got back but that didn't happen so it's long overdue.
I've been super into smoothies, I got a lot of frozen fruit and I'll make another post about smoothie recipes that I've tried in case anyone wants to try them out! I'm not a big protein powder girl so the only protein in them is plain Greek yogurt and sometimes peanut butter, I'd like chia seeds or something but I didn't want to spend too long in the grocery store looking.
I truly wonder when life will go back to normal, it's so weird. I was thinking in the shower today that this is one of the nicest times at Navy. It stays light long enough and it's warm enough that I could go on runs after practice. Practice would be nice because spring time is the nicest breeze... Yes, I miss school and sailing. It's okay, I'm sure this time next year when I'm taking exams (it's supposed to be exam week) I'll be wishing I wasn't at school. It's funny how the grass is always greener.
During plebe summer the expression was, "the days are long but the weeks go by fast." The Naval Academy really teaches you how many hours there are in the day. But, at least they're maximized there. Now, I have so many hours in the day that I kind of spend wondering what I'm supposed to do with them. Especially on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays when I have a first period class and then I have a lot of time in between until the next class. Soren even showed me something on his computer that I tried to understand but I've learned that I'm just not a computer girl. He built his computer from scratch and has bought all of the pieces on his own. It's his pride and joy and honestly, it's really cool and I admire how much work he's put into it! He takes very good care of it and he's learned everything he needs to fix it and make sure he isn't doing anything wrong. I don't really understand any of it, but I'm glad he does.
Well, I guess it's time to see what's for dinner and if I can help. Hopefully Thursday is more exciting.
