My mom told me to have a "thankful Thursday" this morning which is a much better title but it was also really nice weather so I am thankful for that. It was a balmy 60 degrees and sunny, windy but very nice.

I did, in fact, do yoga when I woke up this morning! I kind of thought it'd be more stretching but it was actual like "rise and shine, wake up yoga." I don't think it was supposed to be hard but I'm not flexible so it wasn't easy. The whole time I was thinking about this time, I guess two Christmases ago, when my mom and I did yoga in Miami. Her friend's husband was a yoga instructor and he said that we had to go to one of his classes. We were the only ones in the room who were newbies. He was very nice about it but I kind of felt bad for the regulars in the room because we required a lot of extra instruction. It was fun, I would do it again. My mom claimed she was sore for the rest of the week. It wasn't easy to say the least. It was also really sweaty. I mean it was Miami, but it was also just very sweaty. I don't know why. Just thought I'd share that little story. I think I'll wake up and do yoga/stretch again tomorrow morning. It definitely seemed to help my hip throughout the day and just my overall well being.

So my cold brew coffee pot/carafe whatever you want to call it says to steep the coffee for at least 24 hours. I put the coffee grounds in around 4 PM on Tuesday and I was just so excited that I poured myself a cup on Wednesday morning. I could tell that I had to wait longer because the coffee was not a dark brown like expected. So, this morning I had a real cup of cold brew. I'm sure the coffee that you use makes a difference but let me tell you, it was really good. I think the carafe will hold about 4 cups of coffee. So, if I was at school, I'd definitely go through it really quickly. Here, it'll last longer. This has been somewhat of a caffeine cleanse for me. I've gone from drinking at least 3 cups of coffee or caffeine sources to one. I don't need more because of how much sleep I've been getting. It's kind of nice to only drink one cup a day. But now when I finish my cold brew, I'll refill it in the morning so that it'll be ready the next morning. It tastes good and it isn't bitter or too acidic. I am happy with my purchase and the results.

We had some reheated Belgian waffles and eggs for breakfast this morning. I made a ton on Mother's day and I kept them in the fridge. They taste good if you just pop them in the oven for 10 minutes. They deflate a little in the fridge but the taste doesn't change. I don't think I'd ever purposefully make too many and save them because they are much better fresh. I might make some more this weekend depending on what else we have to do. They're super easy to make and don't take long at all.

It was nice and sunny today so I tanned for a little. This was the first time I had seen the real sun since spring break in Charleston. I have some catching up to do! It was windy again but the warmth made up for it. I read some more of my book while I laid out. I'm getting closer and closer to finishing it but I feel like I am at a slow crawl. It's not a bad book at all it's just dense.

Afterwards I drove into town so that I could go on a run. I'm slowly piecing together new routes just so I can change up the scenery. I think I found one today I want to tweak a little bit so I can get some more distance. I don't know if I want to try it out tomorrow or if I want to run intervals. I found out that I can use the high school's track as long as I'm done running by 2 PM. I'll let everyone know what I decide, it'll also depend on the weather. I haven't done a dance video in a long time and I also haven't had a good strength workout this week so it might be an inside day.

I might bake tomorrow, we'll see. If I do it'll be Oreo brownies. They aren't super complex but they sound really tasty. I also might make "homemade Chipotle." I think that sounds like a better use of my hankering to cook/bake. Soren's Gram made us homemade masks that are very comfortable, especially compared to the makeshift one I was using. (A rolled up, cut up t-shirt and hairties, it really hurt my ears.) So now I can quickly get in and out of the grocery store without fear that my ears are going to fall off.

Soren's grandparents watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy almost every night and tonight was no different. Following those two shows tonight was Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Dr. Phil was the millionaire who was trying to win money for his wife's charity. Soren loves Dr. Phil, I don't why but he just has a slight obsession with him. So, we watched the whole episode of the show just so he could see Dr. Phil. Apparently a lot of people think Soren's Granddad looks like Dr. Phil but I think my step-grandfather, Denny, talks like Dr. Phil. It's probably the slight southern accent but it's also the height and the bald head. Bebe agrees with me, btw. Maybe I'm hooked on Dr. Phil too. I now see some of the appeal, I don't think I've ever sat down and watched it.

I don't really know what tomorrow brings, I've learned that I can't trust the weather app. The only real indicator is to look out my window or step outside. If it's nice I'll run and probably do a small strength workout. If it isn't nice, I'll do a dance video and a longer strength workout. Maybe I'll help Soren, I'll probably get the stuff to make homemade Chipotle. We'll see, I'm just going with the flow!
