Bonjour! Sorry my summer school class is French 201. For those of you thinking, "Kimmie haven't you been taking French for years? Why are you only in 201?" Well... excellent question my friends, I took the validation test and didn't do awesome and I could've started in 201 but I don't think I would've done well so I did 101 and 102, they were easy A's and a good refresher. Now I'm in 201 and I'll take 202 after. I'm a French minor so I'm required to continue taking a language. Also I'm glad I didn't just hop right in to 201 because this professor is kind but she's a fast teacher and the class is pretty much all French. I'm lost a lot of the time... It's also a lot of homework but I guess it's because they're cramming a 12-week class into two weeks. It's about four hours a day of French. She said she'd shorten the amount of homework but we're still waiting for that. Once I graduate I'll have taken approximately 8 years of French. I still keep in contact with my French teacher from high school, he's awesome.
We've been going into town to do school because Soren's mom's wifi is better and more consistent. I wasn't planning on it yesterday and then the power went out at the camp so I had to quickly get to her house before class. It was a little stressful but all is good now.
It was 80 degrees yesterday and it's 80 degrees and humid today. I guess I can't complain because this is still better than possible snow. I'm going to try and blog as consistently as I was before but honestly kind of have a lot going on. Summer school is not easy, especially when it's so nice outside.
I made homemade granola today! I realized that all of the recipes are kind of the same and it's just mixing a lot of stuff in a bowl and baking it for awhile. Here's the recipe that I basically made up: 6 cups of rolled oats, 1/2 cup of coconut oil (melted), 1/2 cup of honey, 2 tsp of vanilla, handful of sliced almonds, sprinkle of cinnamon, about a tablespoon of maple syrup and a sprinkle of chia seeds. I baked it at 350 for 30 minutes, I stirred every 5 minutes for the first 10 and then every 10 minutes for the last 20. It smells delicious and I can't wait to try it.

It was super simple and I'm sure you could throw in any kind of nuts or seeds or dried fruit. I'm not a big fan of dried fruit so I won't be doing that. I might put walnuts in it next time I just didn't have any.
I'm planning on going on a run later today, probably once it starts to cool off. I'm going to do some yoga beforehand, it does seem to help a lot. There are many Youtube videos that I've been doing, it's just 15-20 minutes of stretching.
I made homemade Chipotle again last night. I think I'm getting better at it. Everyone enjoyed it again. It's pretty easy, I'd recommend trying it. I don't know what we're having tonight, Dechlan will be home and I know his mom is really proud of him so we'll probably have a nice dinner or something. She's hung lots of banners and signs, it's a really big deal! He also went to Navy and just commissioned.
I've gotten into Kombucha, I know I mentioned that previously but it was on sale so I bought 4 different flavors. Today I tried one that has apple cider vinegar in it, it's pretty tasty, not too sweet.
I think that's all, I'll blog again tomorrow!
