Okay so the background behind the title... My dog, Bungee, doesn't have a tail. He just has this cute little nub that he wiggles when he gets excited or is happy or basically anytime that he isn't upset. I think it's adorable but I truly didn't realize that his real tail was cut off when he was a puppy and that makes me a little sad. We love him regardless but I don't think a dog should ever have to get their tail cut off! That's all on this topic.
Yesterday I went on a run in the morning. I thought it would be cooler but it was still really hot. I still completed my 4 mile goal but wow, it wasn't easy. I knew it wasn't going to be great when around mile 1.5 all I could think about was how thirsty I was and how easy it would've been to call my dad to pick me up. I did finish my run and I am glad I did but it wasn't awesome.
After that I made some breakfast and then I had school. My class is going well, it's not actually four hours. It's a little over two and we don't have a ton of homework. I actually kind of enjoy parts of it. My professor is very reasonable, I've had him before.
I was supposed to go sailing last night, we were going to team race. My coach arranged for a bunch of his friends and basically sailors of all ages to casually team race. I was looking forward to it but when the time came to sail it was really stormy and it thundered and started to rain. We all decided not to go sailing. It's okay, we're going to try again next Monday!
I just came back home and had dinner with my parents then we hung out and then I went to bed.
This morning I woke up and had a little snack and coffee before I rode my bike with Madeline. I've never been a huge bike rider and I rode Soren's little brother's bike once in Maine but it wasn't for very long. The last time I would've considered myself a bike rider was probably 2013... maybe before that, I don't know. But, Madeline can't run right now because she has stress fractures in her feet so she has taken up distance biking and I decided I'd try it out. I guess I'd use the term "distance" lightly. She rode 15 miles because she met me at my driveway and I rode 11. It was long for me... We're not the best bike riders but we wore our helmets and used the bike lane so we're bikers in my eyes. It was nice and I think we're going again on Thursday.
Immediately after getting back from my bike ride I had to go to school to get some stuff from my sailing locker because I'm sailing in a regatta this weekend. I didn't stay long because I only needed a few things and then I had a Zoom call with some of my company mates from school. Three of my classmates talked to five sophomores about the fleet cruises we did last summer. It was just a chance for them to kind of see what they've missed because theirs were cancelled. I enjoyed it because it was also a little chance to catch up.
I showered quickly and ate some lunch/breakfast and then I had my second day of FF202. I organized the shoes in my closet and I'm very excited for the new closet organizer that should be arriving any day now. I'll post a picture once it's set up.
I did in fact go sailing today. It was a beautiful evening. There was a pretty steady breeze and it was very warm but it was okay. I had a great time, it was fun! It was nice to see a lot of my old friends and just hangout (socially distanced) afterwards. Then I came home and had dinner with my parents!
Tomorrow I'm planning on going for a run with my friend Meredith. I personally think it's better to run with a friend because then you're more encouraged to keep running. That's why I really want Madeline's feet to heal because she's normally my running buddy. Also Fiona but she's not nearby right now.
I've honestly been busier than I thought I would be which is good because I don't like sitting around. I guess I would also like a calm day but I'm sure that there'll be plenty of those. Alright... that's all for now.
