snowy saturday

Okay well actually the big snow was on Thursday but I ran today and the minute I stepped out of the door it started flurrying. Honestly, I was super excited about this blog when I started it (a little over a week ago) but now it feels a little more like a chore. Probably because I haven't had a whole lot to write about.

We still don't have power. It's been out since 9 PM on Thursday, we still don't know when it'll be turned on. Soren's mom has power which is good, we made waffles there this morning. I don't think I've seen this much snow since I was probably 12. I definitely haven't seen this much snow in April.

I am a big fan of Strava and I recently joined a few challenges, two of them being to complete a 5k during April. Not a problem, except I didn't know how long a 5k was... It's a little over 3 miles, it's 3.107 miles according to Google. I ran 3.35 just to be sure. My run didn't feel awesome but at least I did something.

We are now just hanging out. My contacts came earlier today, it was faster than I expected. Their tracking on their website wasn't working correctly. I am hoping that my beautycounter gets here but I kind of think that the snow messed with it. I am still very excited to try it.

I don't have a super busy week or anything coming up. I have a couple of papers I should probably write and my 12-week grades will be posted this week. We'll see how it goes. They officially cancelled graduation. I can't imagine what it's like to be a senior at any college or high school, I'd be really sad, I know that. First the athletes' seasons get cancelled and then their graduation, I'd be devastated. I know the parents are upset too. Hopefully this will all clear up soon. I miss my team and my friends. I miss school, I miss my parents. I've never really been away from home this long, I guess this is what everyone else feels... I just hope it'll be over soon. Happy almost Easter!
