The title is true. I am a morning person, well kind of, once I'm up I'm ready to go. All I need is some coffee. That being said, I need 8 hours of sleep and I don't do well before 8:00 AM. Maybe I'm not a morning person I just know that I'm not really a night person. If I stay up past 11 it must be a special occasion. Okay this is not the point, the point is I don't really sleep in. Late for me is like 10 AM and I had to be really tired. So it was quite a surprise when I got woken up by a phone call asking if I was alive at 11:50 AM. I slept for almost 12 hours on and off last night but I guess I needed it. I haven't been sleeping well because I've been coughing but I'm finally feeling better. I've had more energy today and I haven't had to take cough medicine yet. I'm just amazed that I took a 2.5 hour nap yesterday and I still slept for that long!
Due to today's late start, I haven't done a lot today. We made breakfast, Soren tried a piece of my chocolate chip banana bread and said, "you know, I'm not really a bread person but I wouldn't mind eating that." I don't know what that really means but I think it means he liked it. It's okay, he doesn't have a big sweet tooth, he just tried it because he knew that it would make me happy.
Last night Soren's mom made his favorite dinner, homemade ribs and mac and cheese. I now know why it's his favorite, it was really good and I'm glad she made it! I don't know what we're having for dinner tonight, we'll know in a few minutes.
My skin seems to be clearing up, today I actually thought that it looked good. I'm happy about it. It leads me to believe that the beautycounter products are working. I haven't tried any other skincare products since I started and the only makeup I've worn is a little concealer, some tinted moisturizer and mascara. I'm feeling optimistic about it.
Today I caved and tried out the Fitbod app. I have some friends that use it and they've said they like it so I downloaded it. I'm normally skeptical about workout apps because either I'm doing the exercises wrong or they seem too easy to me. So Fitbod normally requires a subscription but because of Corona all of the body weight workouts are free until May 1st and you can try 3 free workouts that are tailored to the equipment you have. I didn't look into the monthly subscription but I'm going to keep using it until May and I might subscribe at least while we're in quarantine. You can adjust how difficult the workouts are. I think I might do some more cardio and then end with those exercises. The workouts are all different! Overall, I would recommend. I wish I'd tried it out sooner because May 1st is relatively close. Hopefully, I'll be running again by the end of this week.
We were supposed to continue camp clean up today but it's been super windy so we decided to go later in the week. Apparently it could snow tonight... when I heard that, my only response was "no." It should be illegal for it to snow this late in the year. I will continue to complain until it stops snowing. So far it hasn't but if it does, just know I'll be super upset. Soren told me I should send the weather an email and complain, if I could I would. I just hope that if it does snow it isn't as bad as last time and the power doesn't go out again.
I hope that I'm able to sleep tonight and that I continue to feel better. Hope everyone else is healthy!!
