it's raining and my nose is still stuffy friday

Hello! Regardless of the fact that it's raining and my nose is still stuffy I am in a good mood. I didn't have any finals today and I got 10 hours of sleep so I'm high energy (I also had two cups of coffee).

My French final went well yesterday, I had three hours and I only needed about an hour and a half. I had an A in the class and I believe I'll be able to keep that A. I also got my Shakespeare paper back and I got an A- on that which is exciting. Then I took my physics final. I do not have an A in that class, that would be a miracle. I don't know how I did but I think I did okay and I should be fine. The good news is, I never have to take physics again!! That is a win in my book.

If I was an English major anywhere else I wouldn't have to take physics or chemistry, two of my worst classes but at Navy we all get a bachelor's of science. So I'll have an English BS degree instead of a BA like I would anywhere else. It's weird but maybe it'll help me somehow? All of this being said if I'd gone somewhere else I wouldn't have been an English major. While I enjoy it I just don't think it'd be practical.

I'm finally done coughing! I'm still super congested but I think I'll be good soon.

I finished the second season of "All American" for real this time. It ended with a cliff hanger and I can honestly say I'm disappointed. I want to watch more! I started "Outer Banks" and "Never Have I Ever." They're both Netflix originals. I'm only on episode 2 of "Outer Banks" and I'm confused but I've heard it's good and I don't have any other options right now so I'm going to keep watching. "Never Have I Ever" is lighthearted and I believe it's a comedy so I like to watch an episode before I go to bed. Soren and I are still watching "Criminal Minds" very slowly. It's just a little creepy and the episodes are ~50 minutes so we only watch one or two at a time and I don't like to watch them right before bed because I'm a wimp. It was easier to watch at school... I know I should be reading but I don't really have any books but if anyone has any recommendations I'd like to start a good one.

I got the final word today that my summer internship was cancelled. I'm disappointed because I've never had an internship before. It might not sound very exciting but it was researching at the MD State Archives. So I'd have a little over three weeks with 3 other midshipmen and we'd each pick a research topic and by the end we'd have written a paper on our topic. It wasn't for a grade but my advisor said that it'd help my writing and it would look good if I wanted to apply to grad school. The professor that's in charge said it'd be offered again next summer and I could always reapply. I think I will if I have the opportunity.

I have two more tests on Monday and two more on Tuesday next week and then I'm done my sophomore year. I'll just be happy when they are all done. I really don't do well with long tests. I don't think anyone does, I just have a hard time focusing.

We aren't planning on doing any yard work tomorrow which means it's cleaning day instead. To get ahead of it Soren and I are washing our sheets now and we vacuumed our rooms. I am so fortunate as to have the room with the Roomba - one of those robot vacuums - which I've never used before. His grandmother said all I have to do is press clean on the top and shut my door. I can hear it going in there but I'm scared. I picked up everything so it couldn't get stuck and I'm just hoping it doesn't take over or something.

I don't know what we're doing tomorrow, probably just hanging out and helping wherever we can. It's supposed to be really nice weather tomorrow which is nice. It's staying pretty warm but tomorrow is supposed to be a high of 60!

Well I hope everyone is still doing well - it's almost summer! I know it doesn't feel like it but I do believe that our attitudes change with the weather and I'm hoping that warm weather will help us all.
