Last year, or maybe just last semester, I don't really remember, my mom started sending me a text every morning that would say, "Good morning! Have a marvelous Monday!" or "Good morning! Have a tremendous Tuesday!" So on and so forth. Obviously Wednesday is had one and she also was determined to not repeat any of the adjectives so as you can guess I've had some pretty weird ones. Well since I've been in Maine she has started it up again, I think this morning's text was "Good morning! I love you so much! Have a tenacious Tuesday!" I don't know where she comes up with these but I'm so thankful for her. We've been doing a devotional together since I've been gone through the Bible App. She always gets up earlier and completes them earlier than me... It's okay though because we can see each other's comments and it's just nice to know that we've both read the same passage to start the day. I think we're about to start out fifth one. Some are 7-days, we did one 5-day and one 4-day but they've all been great.
Yesterday was a fairly busy day. I sat at the kitchen table from 8:45 AM until about 12:30 PM doing school work. After that I was done for the day until my one afternoon class but it wasn't too bad I just sat there and listened for fifty minutes. Then Soren and I went on a run, it was not our best. He's been sick and hasn't run in awhile and I don't know, yesterday just wasn't my day. It was super windy and the hills felt steeper, but at least we did something. Luckily it doesn't seem as windy today. I'm hoping to run farther, we'll see how Soren feels. I might do my own thing, I'm still taking it fairly easy because I'm supposed to be recovering from stress fractures in my foot but I'm determined that I'm fine. Oh! Here's the exciting thing that happened yesterday, my dad ordered me a new laptop charger.... Yup, this is life in quarantine.
I, just like most, have fallen for the "free shipping!" "20% off loungewear!" emails. They are my demise. However, I can proudly say that the only things I've ordered have been pretty necessary. Soren ordered me my birthday present the first week we were in Maine. The Adidas Hyperboost sneakers, they're super cool. Mine are the white ones with shiny blue on the bottom, I love them. Then I ordered an ab wheel and jump rope from Amazon but I don't have Prime so it took a really long time. I've probably spent hours searching skin care and looking at clothes but I haven't bought anything until this morning. Well, I didn't buy it, my mom did, thanks Mom!
I have struggled with acne since middle school. I have tried everything short of Accutane. I was on countless antibiotics that claimed they would help clear my skin, I've tried the prescription topical creams too. They all worked for a little and then stopped or made my skin so sensitive to the sun that every time I sailed, no matter how much sunscreen I wore I would get burned. Thankfully my mom has been willing to help me and has been supportive the whole time. I sleep with my hair up, use a silk pillowcase, follow a regimen, always take my makeup off, I don't even wear face makeup unless it's a fancy occasion! It's frustrating because I feel like I've tried it all. I've cut out dairy and don't eat a lot of sugar! I've been using the dermalogica clear skin routine and it's kept my skin fairly the same but it hasn't cleared it. So, I decided to try something new. I've used dermalogica a few times. The first time I was probably 15 and I used the "teen" acne one. I don't think it worked very well. So then I tried twenty other regimens before I tried their clear skin line. The lady in Ulta promised me overnight results, it didn't happen. It's been six months. Today, I ordered the Beautycounter Countercontrol Collection (try saying that three times fast). My cousin just started selling their products, they're a clean beauty company and are super open about their ingredients. I am excited and hopeful. I will keep everyone updated once it arrives. I hope it works and I like it, I'd love to try some of their makeup too.
Today is a pretty relaxed day for me. I'll just do some work, enjoy my smoothie and hangout. I love sitting at the kitchen table and looking out the window. That's one of the perks of Maine, it's gorgeous. Once all of this is over, I can't wait to explore more of Maine. Well this is all for now!

This is from last week, it's from the lake at their cabin. We were just checking on it.
