face mask friday

This is somewhat of a punny title, I'll get to why in a few minutes. The first reason of why it's funny is because I'm doing a face mask as I write. The second reason is because we are supposed to be wearing face masks right now because of Corona. The third is because the town that's one town over from me is one of the main producers of N95 face masks and testing kits.

Yesterday marked mine and Soren's one year anniversary. It was also Dechlan's last day here and a school night for Soren so we didn't do anything big, we went on a walk together with Caboose which was nice. We did go get ice cream but we would do that on any day of the week. I'm a sucker for good, homemade ice cream. Like the summer we lived on the Eastern Shore there was this ice cream place called Highland Creamery, I think we went every day. Another time we were in Martha's Vineyard and there was a homemade ice cream place, I can't remember the name and I went in the afternoon with my mom and then I went again after dinner with my dad. I thought I was in the clear because I didn't see the guy who scooped my ice cream from the first time and then he came out of the back and was like "I remember you! You were here at lunch time." That was a little embarrassing.

I didn't have class today so I woke up and went on a run. I only ran 2 miles because I just really wasn't feeling it. Then I got an iced coffee from Dunkin' and I went in town because that's where everyone else was. I finished up the candy that I made for Soren's grandma's birthday and did a little homework.

Today was a big day for this part of Maine because President Trump came to give thanks to the factory. So, Soren and I drove about 15 minutes to go see what all the fuss was about. This is a pretty conservative part so there were protesters but they were incredibly outnumbered. All we saw was the motorcade. President Trump did roll down the the dark screen of his limo window and wave to the crowds so basically, I saw him in person. It was a cool experience.

After we got back from that I did some yoga. Then we ate dinner and came back out to camp. We've been hanging out here and now I'm just getting ready for bed. Soren has some big surprise planned for tomorrow and he won't even tell me what time I need to get up. It's okay, I'm just going with it.
