another blog: thursday evening edition

I kind of think that title is funny, perhaps I'm the only one who thinks that. I made the icebox cake, it was super easy and super tasty. I'd do it again. I also lucked out and had exactly 1.5 cups of whipping cream and barely 1 cup of marshmallow fluff, when I mixed the whipped cream and fluff together I added a dash of vanilla, I figured it couldn't hurt. I'd never made my own whipped cream (not too hard) or instant pudding (very easy) and they really were easy. I also couldn't wait for it to refrigerate a whole day, I gave it about 8 hours and that was good enough. Here are some pictures!

I don't know why they're not lining up and I can't figure out but I don't think anyone cares. Definitely line the bread pan with plastic wrap like it says, that made it super easy to take out of the pan and you don't have to cut it! I drizzled melted dark chocolate on top, not totally necessary but I think it made it just a little bit yummier. I also didn't toast the marshmallows because I didn't want to turn on the oven. Now that you've seen the dessert I made, I feel like I should let everyone know that I did workout today. I did my yoga video but it was just so hot that I didn't do a workout video. I went back to the lake and I paddle boarded for about 40 minutes. I was only planning on 30 but then the wind caused a harder paddle back than I was anticipating. It's like once you take me out of a sailboat I forget how the wind works, oops. After that I walked for a little over two miles. I like to walk and listen to podcasts. My current favorite is called "Healthier Together" by Liz Moody. It's on Spotify, she just talks about health and wellness and relationships, it's easy listening but it's enough that I'm entertained. I only listen to it when I'm walking. I have a running playlist for runs. I'm planning on running at least 3 miles, my hip is feeling good and I'm going to run in the morning so that it's cool. Every other day has been working well for me.


I don't know what else I'll do tomorrow. I don't have class but I have a project I have to do for French and I'll finish my homework so that I don't have to worry about it this weekend. Oh! I almost forgot, tomorrow is free donut Friday at Dunkin'. With every purchase of an iced coffee you get a free donut. I always get Soren's little brother's favorite donut, glazed blueberry. I don't like that kind so I know I won't eat it and it makes him happy. When I say little I don't mean young child, he's almost 16 and is looking like he'll be taller than Soren.
