Well, I've now had this blog for an entire week! It's on the line's one week-aversary, I feel like I should celebrate. I woke up at 10:15 today, didn't really do a whole lot until I made brunch at 12. I made us egg sandwiches with avocado, they were really good! If you haven't already tried it, Dave's Killer bread is super yummy, it really makes the sandwich. Soren and I have tried to green, yellow and red kind (I don't know the actual names, they all kind of taste the same). They also have bagels but we haven't tried them yet. Then we had our Physics 12-week test. We don't have midterms but we have 6-week, 12-week, and final exams. It wasn't too bad but it's definitely been a tougher class to learn online.

I Facetimed my roommate, Katherine, for an hour today, it was nice to catch up with her. She's from Iowa and I think she's bored. I am too, but it's just her and her parents at home so she said she feels like she's back in high school. It started snowing at like 2:15 and it's really accumulating. The weather report last night said that we're supposed to get 20 inches!! This is crazy. It was just starting to warm up too... It's supposed to melt and be nice this weekend so we'll see.

I tried to make that whipped coffee that is all over social media right now. I was bored and I wanted something sweet and I came across some instant coffee so I gave it a shot. I'm not a sweet coffee drinker so it was a little too sweet for my taste but Soren liked it. Not that anyone who reads this is going to try it but if you do, definitely use a mixer instead of whisking by hand and use a big enough cup that you can put lots of milk in, the coffee is super concentrated. It's three ingredients, 2 tablespoons of instant coffee, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of hot water and then you mix until it's fluffy and pour it over ice and milk and stir. I would try using a little less sugar but that's apparently what makes it fluffy. I was bored and I tried it but I probably wouldn't do it again.

I think I'm going to bake chocolate chip cookies tomorrow. I haven't baked at all this week and I'm just feeling like I should. That or I'll make more snickerdoodles... I like baking at Soren's mom's house better because I've found my way around her kitchen but if the snow doesn't clear up I'm sure I can figure it out at his grandparents'.

I was planning on running today but it's probably good that I'm taking today off, I'll probably do yoga and abs. My right hip is tight and I think it's from wearing a boot for a week. I'm not good at resting but I know it'll be best.

Now for the more exciting news, my new computer charger arrived today (thanks, Dad)! I lost mine last summer and I've just been using my port when I'm at school but Soren and I have been sharing his, it's worked but it's inconvenient so now we both have our own. I'm still waiting on my skincare, should be here Friday or Saturday and I'm looking forward to it! I would online shop more but I don't know how I'm going to get all of this stuff home, it's a good thing, I don't need to spend more money. Oh, as far as the smoothies go, I didn't make one today just because we had a big breakfast but I tried a peanut butter, banana, and raspberry smoothie yesterday with Greek yogurt as the protein and it was yummy! It tasted like a peanut butter and jelly. I've heard you can add oats to keep you fuller and I'm tempted to try it.

Well, I'm expecting my contacts and some toiletries next week (also riveting) so I'll keep you updated on that. I do miss my team and friends and parents most of all. I'm fortunate to have Soren and his family, I think I'd go nuts without him. Maybe I'll start a new segment called, "What I Would Be Doing if I Was in My Own House." Today's thought is: I'd take up the saxophone again. So Mom and Dad, you should be fortunate that I am not doing that. Perhaps I could learn to knit, I think MomMom taught me once and I did not catch on, but I've been googling whenever I want to learn so I could try that. I will never take being busy for granted again. Have a good rest of your day!
