This will be a little funny but also like my old blogs. Since I've last blogged we had a "hurricane" it didn't really affect school but it rained a lot and it was windy. It only lasted until like 1:00 PM and then it was nice outside. Unfortunately my parents' power was out for almost two days but it's because a transformer blew. I don't really know if that's a coincidence or if the transformer just chose a bad day to explode but they're power is back now!

I talk to my parents almost everyday and my dad commented about one of my blogs and he said "how's that book, Girl, Don't Pick Your Face?" I just laughed and corrected him and told him that I was on her second book. I think I'm going to read more today. They've locked us down a little more for the next couple of days so we can only go outside for an hour at lunch and an hour and a half at night. It's not really regulated but they're cracking down on the rules and it's not worth it to get in trouble.

On the brighter side of things, Lila turned one! Her birthday was August 2nd. She's adorable, I love facetiming her and Allison. I think I already said this but picking out her birthday outfit was incredibly hard. I wanted to get all of them. Baby clothes are way cuter because they're tiny. I'm going to get her a Navy t-shirt every year for some holiday. I'm determined to be the favorite aunt. I have a lot of competition... However, the day after her birthday I facetimed them again and Allison told me that sometimes Lila tries to eat Elsie's food. Elsie is their dog. I think it's really funny because a long time ago my dad tried dog ice cream. For those wondering.... it's not vanilla. I guess the curiosity runs in the family. Like grandfather like granddaughter?

I am still a film connoisseur! Soren and I watched The Hangover trilogy. Let me tell you, they're very typical. But now I can say I've seen them all. We also watched John Wick 2. It's not my first pick but we watched John Wick 1 when we were in Maine so he insisted we watch the next one. I said that I wanted something lighter hearted the next time we watched a movie so we watched Madagascar 2. We were going to watch the first one but it wasn't on Netflix and I said that it wasn't worth it to buy the first one. The movies are just as funny as they were when we were little. My mom loves the first movie. She thinks the songs are hilarious! After that we started The Green Hornet with Seth Rogen. I guess I'm just on a Seth Rogen kick. We have like ten minutes left but I don't know if we'll finish it. It was funny but not that great. Perhaps I'll just turn this blog into a movie review, in case there aren't enough of those. Currently, I'm watching The Kissing Booth 2, it's on Netflix. I watched the first one a long time ago but I don't remember it. It's cheesy but it's a feel good. I think I'm done with the movie portion of this blog.

I also have gotten pretty into podcasts. I think they're a little more engaging than bad TV but still can be background noise. Yesterday I listened to Rachel Hollis' for the first time. She did an interview with Rob Lowe and I really liked it. It was funny, I really like him. I've only listened to one of hers so far but I'm sure I'll listen to more. I also found a podcast that's about the history of the Office and it has the actors talking about it. I've listened to 1.5 of those so far. If anyone has any good podcast recommendations send them my way!

I was going to write more but I feel like I'm rambling! Hope everyone has a good day :)
