no-bake cookies...

Okay so like I said in my earlier post, I wanted to try those no-bake cookies and I did. Let me first preface by saying, while they don't require an oven, they do require a stove so they're not "no-cook cookies." The recipe I found is also gluten-free and probably vegetarian (I don't really know but they require milk and butter.) I'm sure you could make them vegan with the right switcheroos.
I used this recipe: https://www.gimmesomeoven.com/no-bake-cookies/
So I followed it exactly the way it was written. That doesn't mean they're perfect, I just know that I didn't mess up drastically. If I could do it again, I would add the oats while the milk mixture was boiling so that they'd be cooked. I would also cut the amount of sugar in half or maybe cut it down to to a cup and 1/2, the cookies are very sweet for my taste and I would probably use a little more oats and let the mixture cool before scooping it onto your baking sheet. It's obvious from the first sheet of cookies to the last that they start to take shape better once they've cooled a little before scooping.
All of this being said, they were a lot of work for cookies that are very eh. Probably wouldn't make again. Soren said they look like poop but he didn't say they tasted like it. You'll definitely want milk to drink with them, or ice cream or something to help with the sweetness. They are essentially just hardened oatmeal.
